The core curriculum document in Victoria is the Victorian Curriculum F-10.

The curriculum covers the following learning areas and capabilities:

curriculum structure

The Arts

The school actively promotes the Arts curriculum. A musical production is held every second year involving our senior students and school choir. The senior school production provides students with the platform to express themselves creatively and develop their vocal, acting and dancing skills.

A focus on the Visual Arts is held on alternate years. In these years the school hosts the St. Monica's Art show. The art show is a bi-annual event that showcases the art work of our students from Prep to Grade 6.  The children also particpate in workshops led by local inspring artists.

Library

Our Library/Resource Centre has been established to provide and organized central resource where stimulating, current material is accessible to the whole school community. The primary aim is to offer quality services and support for all children through effective utilization of resources and programs that support staff with the implementation of the school’s curricula. The library is automated with a computerised borrowing system. Children now utilise this facility for accessing information and borrowing books.

The library also hosts a Mini Monica's Storytime where parents, pre-schoolers and toddlers are invited to come along to a session of stories, songs and nursery rhymes.  Sessions are usually held Friday mornings.
